My grandmother died this morning. She was 97 years old, a good long life. She lived in New York City most of my life, but lived in a nursing home near me in Boston for the last year, so I saw her a few times, and those visits taught me some things about her.

That's a wonderful tribute Ned. My condolences as well.
My condolences to you and your family.

Please accept my most sincere condolences on the loss of you grandmother.
...and that was a beautiful tribute you wrote.
I am sorry for your loss. She sounds like a very wise and interesting person. May her memory be a comfort to you.
A reminder to us all. It's important to be "a character". I'm reminded of people in my own family who left a stamp on me be being very definitely themselves. It's never really a loss (although I'm not contradicting those who expressed their condolences in those terms.)
Sorry to hear the news. She seems to be a very wise and kind person.
May her soul rest in peace.
Ned I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother. It's a blessing that she lived so close for the last part of her life. God bless you.
