MIT Wright flight hack

Thursday 18 December 2003This is 21 years old. Be careful.

Those merry pranksters at MIT struck again: In honor of the 100th anniversary of the Wright Brother’s first successful flight yesterday, a replica of their airplane was placed atop the giant dome.

Cool. Being able to see hacks like this is one reason I wish I still worked in Cambridge. I remember the police cruiser, the telephone booth and Hilltop Steak House cows.

When I was a student at MIT, the roof access door were locked. They had signs that threatened dire consequences if the campus police caught you out on the rooftop. We knew someone who was able to get the right keys. The view from the rooftop is amazing.
