Google Moon

Wednesday 20 July 2005This is 19 years old. Be careful.

In honor of today’s anniversary of the first landing on the Moon, Google has produced Google Moon. I was hoping you could zoom in and see the landers, but you can’t (though you can see some pretty interesting stuff). Also cool: It was built in one week.

Try to set the zoom control to the maximum. You wont' see what you expected, really funny though!!!!

We haven't been able to get photos of the landers yet due to the low resolution of cameras aboard the lunar unmanned missions until today. (Not even Hubble can do this.) And this of course is what gives the conspiracy theorists the ground to question human presence in Moon. But this is about to change soon.
