Pre-oscar newsSunday 27 February 2005 Two tidbits from the movie world before tonight's Oscars: First, Halle Berry won last night's Razzie award for Worst Actress, but had the class and sense of humor to show up and accept:
Second, Lilly Tao (GirlHacker) has searched press releases to compile the contents of the goodie bag given away at the Oscars:

Why didn't Ms. Berry read the script herself? Does she allow other people to make all decisions on her behalf? Or is it just that she refuses to take responsibility for anything she does?
That's just what my wife Susan said when I showed her the story!
celebrity worship is really escalating on my list of things that i've had it up to here with...
I suspect the freebies from Vancouver were in part funded by the local film board and the hotel to encourage folks in film to film here, and stay there.
Celebrity worship is just another facet of this exponential increase in over-consumption we are witnessing. Common sense suggests it will end and badly at some point.
I hate Hollywood. They are so sanctimonious and righteous. On the other hand, without their "help," I don't think that Dubya could have done it!
The oscars were last night? I thought they were last week...I guess the buzz has been so loud for so long that I just figured that it HAD to be over.
Good for Halle for being man (!?) enough to show up for her award. The movie must suck, but she does look mighty fine in that cat suit. MEOW!
I just want to clarify the pajama bottom item. You ask, "Just the bottoms?" I'm not commenting on one way I could take your question, (as your wife), but rather, I wish to explain to you the fashion behind the matter. These days manufacturers are selling "pajama bottoms" as a stand-alone item you can wear anytime. The NYTimes Sunday mag (2/27/05) just had a bit on them.
Oh, and saucer of milk for my friend Andrew, by the way...
not to mention that the pajama top is probably $1500, and each celebrity will just *have* to have the set!
