This is neat! I was just about to write a script to do the same thing when I thought about googling it first. My favorite hex colour has to be #313373 though. :P

How 'bout "facade"? W3C standards allow for 3-character hexlets as colors in addition to 6-character hexlets, so you can also get

bad
bed
bee
cab
cad
dab

fad
fed
fee

for your hex-colors. I did a trial run with a site whose entire colorscheme was base on "spellable" words. Didn't turn out nearly as badly as I expected. :)
